U17 Basketball World Championship 2012: Best USA Players to Watch
The United States will try to keep its undefeated record at the U17 World Basketball Championships intact when they play a talented Spain team on Saturday.
Even though you probably don't know many of these players, it will be good to watch them play because nearly all of them have the potential to be stars in college.
Let's look at three USA players to watch in the semifinal matchup with the Spanish.
Conner Frankamp
USA guard Conner Frankamp was phenomenal in the team's 116-47 win over China on Wednesday. He led all scorers with 17 points in 23 minutes played. He also added three rebounds and two assists and shot 7-of-15 from the field.
Kansas Jayhawks fans will want to pay close attention to him in this tournament since he's committed to head coach Bill Self's program, according to ESPN.
BeeJay Anya
BeeJay Anya is an athletic 6'9" forward from Maryland who will be a force at the collegiate level in the very near future.
Against China, Anya scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked two shots. He did all this in just 16 minutes of playing time.
Keep your eye on Anya because he is one of the most exciting players on this U-17 USA basketball squad.
Justise Winslow
Justise Winslow is one of the best frontcourt players on Team USA, and scored 12 points along with 12 rebounds in the victory over China.
His low-post offensive skills are very good for someone his age, and he will be a key part of the American's chances to win this tournament because of his scoring ability and impressive defense.
The NCAA team he chooses to play for will be very lucky to have him.
