Rikishi Could Be the Next Former WWE Star to Return for 1,000th Show

Cardiff WandererMay 31, 2018

Former WWE superstar Rikishi is the latest veteran to be linked with a return to the WWE after having a Twitter exchange with current WWE talent AW.

Rikishi, who left the WWE in 2004 after 12 years with the company, responded to a tweet which suggested that he should return for the 1,000th WWE Raw show to give a stinkface to AW, the manager of the "Prime Time Players" (Titus O'Neill and Darren Young) who are part of the same tag team division as Rikishi's sons Jimmy and Jey Uso.

This prompted Rikishi to respond with the comment:

YOU DNT WANT THAT. ILL REALLY WHOOP HIS ASS FOR TLKING SHET .@JayOnWrestling @AWPromotions @WWEUsos

"

This lead to the two men exchanging comments:

"

Well well well if it ain't @TheREALRIKISHI ,Brodus calls his Momma and ‪#WWEUsos call their daddy. How pathetic. ‪#DaddysLittleGirls!!!

JR FATU,, ‏@TheREALRIKISHI

@AWPromotions WELL WELL IF AINT ? OH WHO THE F%^&K ARE YOU ? NOBODY ‪#SHOOT .. ILL MAKE U FAMOUS

A W ‏@AWPromotions

@TheREALRIKISHI @ : Nice to see you ripping off the Undertaker. Who u gonna rip off next Brodus Clay? ‪#HesABetterDancer

"

This was shortly followed by a shorter interaction, again prompted by a fan's tweet that further ignited the rivalry between the two men:

"

JR FATU,, ‏@TheREALRIKISHI

My azz might get infected with his MONKEYAZZ FACE .‪#NOTHANKSRT @Project9Gaming@TheREALRIKISHI should stink face@AWPromotions !!!!

A W ‏@AWPromotions

@TheREALRIKISHI @project9gaming @awpromotions : Hey Kish funny that u find pleasure in rubbing yo A$$ in other mens faces....‪#ItsRainingMen

"

This exchange lead to Rikishi calling upon the WWE to "call their monkey off," which was quickly responded to by AW blocking Rikishi's messages.

This could be seen as a case of a former star getting too involved in a kayfabe account or a father trying to drum up interest in his son's tag team. However, the most likely course is for Rikishi to be one of the returning legends at the 1,000th show.

Rikishi has been on good terms with the WWE for some time, making an appearance at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and his former gimmick as a member of the dancing trio "Too Cool" would open up a natural opportunity to dance with Brodus Clay. The two big men dancing side by side is guaranteed to get a good pop from the audience.

If Rikishi were to return, it would be very popular with fans and a one-off occasion like the 1,000th show would be a great time to do it.
