Sunrise in the NFC East: The Division's Top Links on July 6, 2012

This was one of those work weeks that flew by. I think it had to do with the fact that it was only four days long. Yup, that was definitely it. In our last links post of the week, we're again debating Tony Romo's merits. It's an annual July tradition, I suppose.

Dallas Cowboys

Amani Toomer is the latest "expert" to jump in on the Eli vs. Tony debate, and—surprisingly—Toomer the former Giants wide receiver is taking Romo's side. 

The guys at Blogging the Boys ask what the Cowboys' long-term plans should be with regard to Romo. This bothers me a little bit, because it shouldn't be a debate. Hopefully Dallas realized in the half-dozen years that preceded the Romo era that Aikmans and Staubachs don't grow on trees.

New York Giants

What do Michael Strahan, Seth Meyers and Josh Groban have in common? They're the three finalists to take over permanently for Regis Philbin on "Live with Kelly and Michael/Seth/Josh."

New Jersey governor and potential vice-presidential candidate Chris Christie is pissed off at the Jets and Giants, according to NFL.com.

Philadelphia Eagles

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News isn't convinced that the nothing will change with the Eagles after Jeff and Christina Lurie announced that they're divorcing.

The concern, as Phil Sheridan of the Philadelphia Enquirer states, is that this will turn into another Frank and Jamie McCourt fiasco. 

Washington Redskins

Rich Tandler points out that the Redskins have two of the 31 draft picks that, according to Pro Football Talk, remain unsigned. 

Redskins receiver Aldrick Robinson files a report from the offensive get-together Robert Griffin III hosted in Waco, Tex.
