MLB Futures Game 2012: Jose Fernandez Will Shine in Minor League Showcase
The Miami Marlins have a awesome youngster working his way to the majors, but for now, he's going to put his talents on display in the MLB Futures Game.
Jose Fernandez is an absolute stud, and it's only a matter of time before you see him in the big league all star game. He's 6'3" and over 200 pounds, with a stocky lower-body.
Fernandez looks like a potential ace of a rotation in the future. He was recently promoted to Advanced A Jupiter in the Marlins organization. He had completely out-classed hitters at the normal A ball level.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
In addition to striking out an amazing 99 hitters in just 79 innings, Fernandez was 7-0 with a league-best 1.59 ERA. Check out this video of him in action:
He's been hit pretty good in his first two starts with Jupiter, but that is to be expected immediately after the jump.
He doesn't turn 20 years old until the end of this month, and he will ultimately find his stride.
Barring some unforeseen setback, it's only a matter of time before Fernandez is on the mound for Ozzie Guillen and the big club. Fernandez isn't the only player the Marlins will have representing them in the MLB Futures Game.
Infielder Christian Yelich will be there as well competing for the USA team, while Fernandez plays for the World squad, because he was born in Cuba.
Both are nice prospects, but Fernandez is a cut above Yelich, and when it's all said and done, he may be the best prospect in this year's game.
