Ron JohnsonFeb 15, 2009

Live from Seattle, Washington, it’s WWE No Way Out!

As the show begins, we see the entrance of The Undertaker.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match

The Undertaker vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Triple H vs. Big Show vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Edge

From the start, it is an interesting atmosphere as the four men who will be locked in the pods make their way to the ring. Via random lethal lottery, Taker, Big Show, Kozlov and The Game will be locked in the pods, while Jeff Hardy and Edge will start this brutal, hellacious encounter.

As the bell rings, Jeff Hardy wastes no time in going after the WWE Champion/ Hardy drops Edge with a series of high flying neck breakers, but is quickly grounded thanks to a big boot from the Rated R Superstar. Edge continues the pressure by slamming Hardy’s head into the Show’s turnbuckle. But Hardy gets a quick advantage with a head scissors takedown followed by the Extreme Leg Drop. Hardy lands the Twist of Fate, but isn’t able to land the Swanton Bomb. Hardy blocks a Spear and rolls Edge to get the pinfall and eliminate the now former WWE Champion.

As Edge continues to protest the decision, the timer goes off , and Vladimir Kozlov makes his first appearance in the Chamber. Kozlov shows his dominance right off the bat by picking up Hardy and running him into the side of the Chamber followed by a fall away slam back into the ring. Kozlov shows his raw power constantly with a set of backbreakers and power slams. But Kozlov shows his frustration for Hardy’s tenacity with constant punches and samba submission moves.

Hardy tries to fight back, but Kozlov knocks him back down with a shoulder tackle followed by an elbow drop. But Hardy bounces back with a standing dropkick followed by the Donkey Kick. As Hardy nails the Whisper in the Wind, the clock hits zero…and the arrival of The Big Show. Show comes in and goes straight after the former WWE Champion. Both Show and Kozlov decide to team up for a bit on Hardy. Show and Kozlov use their power on Hardy. It now becomes a game of “anything you can do, I can do better.” Hardy starts to fight back and slugs it out with both men, but Show drops him with a huge head butt. Kozlov drops an elbow, and Show lands a vicious chop that drops the Enigma.

As Show delivers a chop on Hardy, Kozlov drops the World’s Largest Athlete with a huge battering ram tackle. The two goliaths slug it out as the clock hits zero. As the random selection draws to a close, The Game enters the match. Triple H hit’s the face buster on Show, the Harley Race High Knee on Kozlov and a thunderous clothesline on Jeff Hardy. As Triple H prepares to drop Kozlov with a Pedigree on the outside, Show intervenes and chops him back into the ring. As Show continues the pressure on Triple H, Kozlov works on Hardy. Show stalks The Game as Undertaker punches the glass and paces back and forth in his cell.

Triple H blocks the choke slam but is unable to block the military press from Big Show. On the other side, Kozlov continues his dominating ways on Hardy. As Show continues his punishment on Triple H, the countdown begins to wind down to 10 seconds and the arrival of The Undertaker. Big Show is showing his true dominance by taking out both Triple H and Jeff Hardy. In the process of the freeze, Kozlov has been eliminated.

Undertaker returns to life and lands a superplex off of the top rope on Big Show. Hardy is stuck on the outside, while Triple H lands the Pedigree on Big Show. Hardy regains composure enough to land a Swanton Bomb on a prone Big Show. Triple H crawls over the Big Show to get the pinfall and eliminate the World’s Largest Athlete. Taker and Triple H slug it out before Taker launches The Game over the top rope. He then focuses his attention on Jeff Hardy. Hardy is the first to his feet and lands the Poetry in Motion on Triple H. But Undertaker recovers and delivers the Tombstone Piledriver on Jeff Hardy to get the pinfall and eliminate the Enigma.

It is down to Undertaker and Triple H, and in the end, one of these men will be the new WWE Champion.

Taker lands a big boot to level the 12-Time Champion. He then puts him in the corner and throws a few soupbones on The Game. Triple H manages to dodge a huge boot on the Deadman. After slamming Taker’s head into the steel, Triple H goes up top only to get caught in a choke slam, but Triple H manages to kick out. Taker hits Snake Eyes, but The Game catches him off the ropes with a huge spine buster. As Triple H goes for the Pedigree, Taker drops him with a Tombstone Piledriver. But impressively, Triple H gets his foot on the ropes. Triple H lands the Pedigree, but Undertaker manages to kick out before the count of three.

Both men get to their feet and slug it out before they move the fight to the center of the ring. As Triple H hits some shots from the top, Taker goes for the Last Ride, but Triple H counters it into another Pedigree, lands it, gets the pinfall and is now the new 13-Time WWE Champion! After the match, Triple H and The Undertaker exchange a salute of respect to each other after one hell of a finale to their match.

In the back, Edge is complaining to his wife about the outcome of the match. But there isn’t much Vickie Guerrero can do…except console her husband, the former WWE Champion, who continues to have a stunned look on his face.

No Holds Barred Match

Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon

Before their match, Randy Orton comes up on the screen and tells Vince that this will be the first time he will be completely helpless. He goes on to say that he will not stop until he destroys every member of the McMahon Family.

Shane starts the physicality with a couple of punches to the head. Orton has yet to land a shot on McMahon until he lands a boot along with a series of punches to the face of Shane. McMahon recovers and lands a set of punches that sends Orton out of the ring. As Orton tries to regain some consciousness, Shane starts pulling toys from under the ring. But Orton recovers and goes on the offensive quickly.

Back in the ring, Orton goes on the assault before taking the protective covering off of one of the turnbuckles. Orton tosses Shane out of the ring, but McMahon bounces back with a kendo stick to Orton’s back, head and ribs. Back in the ring, Shane O’Mac is going nuts with the kendo stick, but as Orton tries to roll outside, Shane sprints from the other side and levels Orton with a vicious clothesline. McMahon then nails Orton with a tv monitor. As Shane goes up top, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase come out and start pummeling Vince’s son. As Rhodes tries to land a chairshot, McMahon turns the tables and drops him with a DDT on the steel chair.

Shane props a trash can onto Rhodes and goes Coast to Coast on Rhodes before turning his attention to Orton. As McMahon launches off the top rope, Orton moves out of the way leaving McMahon to get the blunt of the impact from the announcers table. After checking on his Legacy teammates, Orton drops Shane with the Rope A Dope DDT. But Shane manages to kick out not once, not twice but three times. Orton shows his frustration, but manages to bring in the table.

Orton places Shane on the top rope and begins pummeling him before preparing to drop him through the table. Orton then superplexes Shane through a table, but Orton looks as if he’d got the bad end of that table. After McMahon kicks out of the pin attempt, Orton continues the assault. As Orton tries to punt Shane’s head, McMahon counters it into a huge spear. Shane recovers enough to land a huge chair shot on Orton’s already injured back, and then he lands another one on Orton’s ankle. Orton tries to beg for mercy, but Shane nails him one more time for good measure. McMahon goes for the punt, but Orton counters it into an RKO to pick up the win. But after the bell, Orton can’t even make it to his feet.

As Orton finally gets to his feet, he looks as if he’s going to punt Shane’s head, but he decides to take the easy way out and slithers out of the ring.

ECW Championship Match

Jack Swagger vs. Finlay

Finlay starts off by getting control of Swagger’s leg and turning it into a Single Leg Boston Crab. Finlay continues the pressure until Swagger gains control in the corner. Swagger moves the action to the center of the ring and focuses on the left shoulder of the Fighting Irishman. But Finlay bounces back and lands a huge neck breaker on the ECW Champion. Swagger bounces back and lands some serious shots in the corner.

Finlay bounces back with a cross body off the top ropes. The Irishman starts picking up momentum with a set of huge spears. But thanks to Hornswoggle’s interference, Swagger manages to land the Sooner Bomb and pick up the victory to retain the ECW Championship. Now Swagger has to deal with his future showdown with Christian Cage at possibly Wrestlemania.

In the back, Shawn Michaels is prepping for his match against JBL.

All or Nothing Match

John “Bradshaw” Layfield vs. Shawn Michaels

Before the match, JBL starts shooting insults towards, Shawn’s wife, Rebecca, who is sitting at ringside.

As the bell rings, JBL continues staring a hole through Shawn’s wife. He then walks around the ring with a smirk on his face. Shawn then unloads on his “boss” before he slides out of the ring to regain his composure. Shawn then bolts outside and continues the assault before the match moves back into the ring. Shawn manages to lock in the Heartbreaker before JBL reaches the ropes. After breaking the Crossface submission, Shawn moves the fight to the corner.

After losing the battle outside, HBK continues to get leveled in the ring. JBL continues to land punch after punch on his employee followed by a huge boot to the skull in the corner. JBL gets complete control with a bear hug, but Shawn manages to counter it into a swinging neck breaker. Shawn recovers enough to land a Reverse Atomic Drop, but JBL gets control back in the corner. Shawn manages to knock JBL off the top rope but is unable to land the Flying Elbow Drop. JBL recovers and lands the Clothesline From Hell, but Shawn Michaels kicks out.

As JBL continues the assault, he continues to also glare at Rebecca. Shawn manages to beat the 10-count, but JBL has now brought the fight to Shawn’s doorstep. As he gloats in front of Rebecca, Mrs. Heartbreak Kid pops him in the mush. Shawn recovers with a house of fire and lands the Flying Elbow Drop. Michaels prepares to land Sweet Chin Music and delivers the knockout blow to pick up the win and earn his release from his contract with JBL. After the match, Shawn slides out of the ring, kisses his wife, and the two walk away hand in hand.

In the back, Chris Jericho continues to bore the world with his long winded speeches about the fans being liars and hypocrites….sorry, I feel asleep a little bit.

Main Event

World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Kofi Kingston vs. Kane vs. Mike Knox vs. Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio vs. John Cena

Just like the SmackDown WWE Championship Chamber earlier, the four men that will be locked inside the pods start making their way to the ring. Defending Champion John Cena, Mike Knox, Kane and Kofi Kingston are being locked in the pods. But before Kingston could make his way into the Chamber, Edge comes out and attacks the Jamaican, finishing it off with a Conchairto.

Following the assault, Edge tries to enter the RAW main event. As the confusion tries to get settled, Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho make their way into the Chamber. Because of his refusal to leave the match, Edge will compete in this match as well. Jericho and Mysterio start the match with Rey getting control with a head scissors takeover. Jericho gets control after Rey flies head first into the glass.

Mysterio recovers and climbs up top and delivers a hurracanrana followed by a springboard splash as the countdown begins for the third man into the Chamber. Kane enters the assault and drops Rey with a big boot. Jericho tries to get a sleeper hold on Kane but winds up getting tossed back into the ring instead. Kane continues the assault but takes a moment to stare Edge into submission. Kane sends Jericho over the top rope with a vicious clothesline. He then climbs over and drops Jericho’s knee on the steel ground.

Mysterio returns and takes the fight to Kane, but the Big Red Monster starts fighting back. Mysterio counters with a Reverse DDT, but gets caught by Kane. Mysterio climbs up to the top of the cell and lands a huge splash to pin and eliminate Kane from the Chamber. As Kane leaves the Chamber, Knox enters and unloads on Mysterio first, then Jericho. As Knox continues the assault, Jericho steps in and launches Knox over the top rope. But Knox bounces back and throws Jericho into the unforgiving steel not once but twice.

As Knox battles Jericho, Mysterio tries to get the advantage on Knox. But Knox catches him and locks his leg onto the steel chain links. Knox then tosses Jericho back into the ring before focusing his attention back to Rey. As Knox goes for the Knox Landing, Jericho hits the Codebreaker to eliminate Mike Knox. We are officially down to four as the countdown begins and Edge enters the match. As Edge comes out of the cell, Mysterio takes the fight to the Rated R Superstar.

Jericho steps in to stop the assault by dropping Rey before taking the fight to Edge. After dropping Edge with a bulldog, Jericho goes after Mysterio. Edge regains control following an Edgecution, but Rey and Jericho continue to fight back. All three men drop from the top rope with a combination superplex and power bomb. As John Cena comes into the match, Edge capitalizes on Jericho’s Codebreaker and Mysterio’s 619 with a spear to pin and eliminate John Cena. Mysterio counters the Walls and pins Jericho to eliminate him.

We are officially down to just Rey Mysterio and Edge.

As Mysterio regains his composure, Edge sets up to deliver the biggest spear of his life. Mysterio uses every ounce of energy he has left to prevent defeat. As both men get to their feet, Rey lands a huge kick to the back of Edge’s head, but can’t get the pinfall. Again, both men stagger to their feet, and Rey is able to counter a sideslam into a Tornado DDT. As Rey heads up top, Edge lands a huge boot to drop the Ultimate Underdog. Mysterio counters a power bomb into a face buster and hits the 916 (Reverse 619). As Mysterio sprints after Edge, the Ultimate Opportunist launches him into a waiting glass door.

Back in the ring, Edge lands the Spear, pins Mysterio and has become an eight-time World Champion. Don’t know if this will hold up or not, but for tonight, Edge is the new World Heavyweight Champion.

What will Stephanie McMahon do tomorrow night on RAW now that the brand once again has no World Champion? Will she hold up this decision to allow Edge, a SmackDown superstar to remain a World Heavyweight Champion?
