Arsenal FC: Robin van Persie Drops Bombshell, Refuses to Extend His Contract

It has been confirmed that Arsenal star striker Robin van Persie will not extend his contract, thereby dropping a bombshell upon the football world. This news comes as a shock, as Arsene Wenger had reiterated time and again that he would do all that was possible to retain the Dutchman’s services.

Perhaps the signing of Olivour Giroud from Montpellier and Lukas Podolski from FC Köln were harrowing signs—signs that indicated that Robin van Persie would eventually leave and that adequate replacements had to be sought immediately. No panic buys. But calculated shrewd investments.
