He has fought for gold in all three of the post WrestleMania pay-per-views.
He has also lost three times.
Indeed, one almost gets the feeling that the tidal wave of momentum started at WrestleMania XXVII is beginning to come to shore.
Whereas CM Punk only spurred the audience on in their promos together, no doubt eager to consolidate the popularity of his old Ring of Honor duelling partner, John Cena and Chris Jericho have begun to ridicule the monotony of his "YES!" catchphrase.
The very same Cena has also seemingly turned his attention to the WWE Championship picture, a move that could possibly edge Bryan out of contention, and back into minor disputes and lower-card feuds.
That is, if he loses at Money In The Bank.
Whichever way you look at it, The American Dragon needs to emerge victorious on July 15, with help from Special Guest Referee, AJ or not.
Four major loses in a row might just be one too many.
If the newly crowned Queen Diva does lend a helping hand though, it would help transform the two into a monster heel couple similar to Hunter and Stephanie before them.
And If Vince McMahon is so set against the diminutive technical genius, he need only hold the belt for a week until the upcoming 1000 Raw.
The episode would run better with a major title change anyway.
So with a clash in Phoenix, Arizona looming, the fate of Daniel Bryan is the most finely balanced in the WWE, his career path unclear.
But whichever way you look at it, a victory would certainly help.
