Wimbledon 2012 Schedule: Day 9 TV Coverage, Matches and Bracket Guide
Day 9 at Wimbledon is all about the men's bracket.
All four men's quarterfinals matches are on the schedule for your 4th of July viewing pleasure, and you can catch all four matches on ESPN starting at 7 a.m EDT.
This bracket guide and TV schedule will keep you abreast of all the important matches happening on Day 9 at the All English Club.
Bracket Guide
Ladies' Bracket
The ladies have the day off. They hammered out their quarterfinals matches on Day 8, and they will be the main attraction again on Day 10.
Men's Bracket
The men's bracket still has four of the world's top-five players in contention heading into the quarterfinals.
Novak Djokovic will test his game against Florian Mayer of Germany. These two players have only faced one another twice before, with Djokovic predictably taking both matches. He'll likely do so again in the quarterfinals with ease.
Roger Federer is still alive and kicking after two big-time tests in Rounds 3 and 4. He will face Mikhail Youzhny in his quarterfinals match, and this one could also turn out to be quite a challenge.
Youzhny hasn't ever gotten this far at Wimbledon, and he's shown quite a bit of tenacity in his efforts this year, winning his last two matches in nine sets combined. He'll give Federer all he can handle, but ultimately the six-time champ will pull through.
David Ferrer and Andy Murray will also face one another in the quarterfinals, in what I think will be the match of the day. The two of them are no strangers, as they've met 10 times previously, splitting them evenly at five apiece.
Finally, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will happily take the court against Philipp Kohlschreiber after coming back from a near-two set deficit against Mardy Fish in Round 4. I expect Tsonga to continue his winning ways against Kohlschreiber on his way to a matchup with the winner of the Ferrer-Murray match.
