Deron Williams Will Reportedly Re-Sign with Brooklyn Nets
Deron Williams has reportedly elected to return to the Brooklyn Nets, which marks the return of a critical piece to a team that has undergone a major facelift this summer.
According to Williams' Twitter, the superstar point guard mulled his options over and decided that rejoining the Nets would be his best option, both in terms of financial security and the chance to contend for a championship.

The Nets and Williams came to terms on a five-year, $98.75 million contract on Tuesday evening and have secured their franchise point guard for the foreseeable future, as noted by Ken Berger of CBSSports.com via Twitter.
"League source confirms Deron Williams and Nets have agreed on a five-year deal. Estimated value is $98.75 million.

After signing Gerald Wallace and trading for Joe Johnson, the Nets finally had an enticing enough roster to convince D-Will that Brooklyn was the place to be. It also helped that the organization could offer more money and one more year than any of Williams' other suitors.
It’s also not out of the realm of possibility that the team trades for Dwight Howard before the regular season tips off in late October, which may have influenced Deron's decision.
DH12’s presence would push the Nets over the edge and make them legitimate challengers as one the East’s top teams.
This is a great deal and one that should be extremely rewarding for both sides.
D-Will gets paid and has a great opportunity to make it back to the postseason while the Nets have another superstar to sell to their new fanbase in Brooklyn.
His presence may also convince Howard to seriously put pressure on the Orlando Magic to expedite a deal to Brooklyn in order to form a fiercely competitive team that could potentially tackle the Miami Heat.
