Sunrise in the NFC East: The Division's Top Links on July 3, 2012

Jun 4, 2018

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find even a handful of links worthy of this post on a daily basis. The funny thing is that in only a few weeks, we'll have trouble trying to whittle it down. Regardless, we combed the Internet and managed to find at least a few quality pieces pertaining to the four teams in the NFC East.

Dallas Cowboys

More window talk in Dallas! This time, DeMarcus Ware weighs in, agreeing with Jerry Jones that the Cowboys' window is closing and that the time to win is now, per the Dallas Morning News.

From Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com: Ron Jaworski ranks Tony Romo as the 10th-best quarterback in football. I think that's a little low. It appears Jaws will have both Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger ahead of Romo. Considering that Matt Stafford and Michael Vick have already been ranked, I honestly have no idea how there are nine players listed above Romo.

Joe Martinek is excited to have an opportunity to play for his hometown team, via The Star-Ledger. The problem is that there isn't much room for him at either tailback or fullback.

Giants 101 takes a look at how the team should play Mathias Kiwanuka, who quietly had great success at strong-side linebacker in 2011. Expect him to again spend some time up front, but Kiwanuka has blossomed into a stellar outside linebacker.

Michael Vick is now a married man (per GossipExtra.com), and security at the Miami wedding only cost Vick—who is still in debt to creditors—$300,000. I'm scared to imagine what he spent on the entire thing.

CSN Philly's Derrick Gunn writes that Mike Kafka must seize the backup quarterback job with the Eagles. I still think they need to strongly consider Trent Edwards.

Brian Tinsman of the Redskins' website looks at guard Kory Lichtensteiger, who is returning from a knee injury but could be an unsung hero on this Washington team in 2012.

CSN Washington's Rich Tandler doesn't expect Redskins franchise player Fred Davis to get a long-term extension this summer. Instead, Davis will have to prove himself on and off the field in 2012.
