Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur as the North London club's newest manager. The move, if it indeed happens, would come just months after Villas-Boas was sacked less than a season into his tenure at Chelsea.

Andre Villas-Boas is on the verge of being named Tottenham Hotspur's new manager, according to widespread media reports.

The Independent reports that an announcement could come Tuesday. Villas-Boas, 34, was sacked by Chelsea in March, eight months into his first season on the job.

Tottenham and previous manager Harry Redknapp parted company last month.

Bayern Want Khedira?

Bayern Munich want Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to reports out of Spain (cited by ESPNSoccernet).

Khedira, 25, joined Real from Stuttgart in 2010. According to the reports, Real would consider a deal if Bayern's Bastian Schweinsteiger moves the opposite way.

Juventus to Bid on Suarez?

The Italian giants will bid for Liverpool's Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail suggests Juventus might consider a cash-plus-swap deal for Suarez, but adds that Liverpool don't want to sell.

No transfer price is listed.

United After Moutinho?

Manchester United are chasing Portugal and Porto midfielder João Moutinho, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils are reportedly considering a £25 million offer.

Moutinho, 25, has also been linked with big-spending Paris Saint-Germain (via Goal.com).

In other Manchester United news, defender Fabio da Silva has joined Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan (The Guardian).

RvP Latest

Robin van Persie this week will again hold talks with Arsenal concerning his future (per the Daily Mirror).

Van Persie, 28, has one year remaining on his contract and reportedly has drawn interest from several European clubs. Juventus reportedly bid €10 million for him this week (ESPNSoccernet).

With Spain routing Italy 4-0 near the end of Sunday's second half, Casillas was seen asking the referee to end the match before the allotted three minutes of stoppage time were played.
