Andre Villas-Boas to Be Announced as Tottenham Manager on Tuesday
Tottenham apparently have their man.
Less than a month after firing Harry Redknapp as manager, Spurs are reportedly set to introduce Andre Villas-Boas as the replacement Tuesday. On Monday, Tottenham's players were informed that AVB would in fact be their new manager.
This will be AVB's second go-round in the English Premier League. Last year, he started the season with Chelsea, only to be fired in early March after falling out with his team's senior players and suffering a rough run of form.

However, Villas-Boas has had a proven record of success, assisting in Jose Mourinho's great runs with Chelsea and Inter before managing Porto to four trophies in one season.
Under the terms of his severance with Chelsea, AVB could not be introduced as manager before July 1, but Spurs reportedly offered the Portuguese manager a deal last Wednesday.
Tottenham will hope Villas-Boas will be a big enough name to allow them to keep their stars (namely Luka Modric) and compete in the transfer market without the allure of Champions League football. Of course, the ultimate goal of the signing will be to get Spurs back to the top flight of European football.
This signing assures that we will have Villas-Boas's progress as a Premier League manager and Tottenham's progress under his direction as extremely interesting sub-plots to this EPL season.
