Date: Thursday, July 12, 2012
Time: 1:00 p.m. EST
Location: The draft will be conducted electronically
All Eligible Players:
Quaylon Ewing, DB, Boise State
Ewing, a 6'1" cornerback, appeared in all 13 games for the Broncos as a sophomore in 2011-12. He recorded 26 tackles and broke up one pass.
However, after failing to live up to the standards of the team, Ewing was dismissed from Boise State.
Josh Gordon, WR, Baylor
Gordon burst onto the scene with an All-Big 12 season as a sophomore in 2010 when he pulled in 42 catches for 714 yards and seven touchdowns.
After being suspended, however, Gordon left the Bears program. He has great size (6'4", 220 pounds) and possesses plenty of big-play potential. The young receiver is thought of to be the best player in the supplemental draft.
Adam Harris, RB, Syracuse
Harris is a bruising fullback, but concussions ended his career at the University of Syracuse. After being given a clean bill of health, Harris will get a second chance with the supplemental draft.
Adrian Haughton, T, Iowa State
Haughton, a 6'4", 360-pound tackle out of Iowa State, actually played sparingly for the Orlando Predators in the AFL, but he will now get the opportunity to possibly try out for the NFL.
Larry Lumpkin, LB, Carson-Newman
Lumpkin was a star at Carson-Newman, serving as its best defensive player, but academic problems prohibited him from returning for his senior season.
The 6'0" linebacker has good speed and hitting ability, so he should serve as an intriguing prospect.
Montez Robinson, DE, Georgia
Robinson has always shown solid talent, but after being arrested for the second time in 2010, he was dismissed from the University of Georgia.
Houston Tuminello, WR, McMurray
Tuminello racked up 22 catches for 193 yards and one touchdown over a season and a half with Lousiana Tech.
He was beginning to establish himself as a solid aerial threat, but midway through the season, he quit the team.
Ed Wesley, RB, TCU
After rushing for 726 yards and six touchdowns, Wesley was named as an honorable mention All-Mountain West selection.
For his career with the Horned Frogs, Wesley tallied 2,442 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns.
Wesley left the team before the 2012 season due to family reasons. Along with Gordon, this talented running back is arguably the most intriguing prospect in this draft.
