Kurt Angle Comments on Leaving TNA, Retiring with the WWE in the Future

Chris HumphreyJun 7, 2018

Even though being one of the biggest names in Impact Wrestling, there are many fans of Kurt Angle from his days in the WWE that want to see the former Olympic Gold Medalist return to the company that made him a household name in pro wrestling.

Following leaving the WWE in 2006, Angle left the company and signed with TNA as he went on to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship five times along with the TNA Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions in the past six years.

Here’s what Angle said in post on his Twitter account in regards to what company he’ll be in when he finally hangs up the boots for good at the end of his career.

I Know Everyone Wants Me to Go Back to Wwe. Not Yet. My Job Is to Build Tna. Once they Are Built, I May Retire In Wwe. Maybe. Tna is 1st tho

At this point in his career after spending nearly the past 15 years in the pro wrestling world, it would be better for Angle to stay at TNA in the coming years instead of making a short and likely unimportant run in the WWE.

While possibly being a mistake for Angle to return to the WWE, Vince McMahon might not be up to bringing him back for any long-term run in the company outside of trying cashing in on a one-time match at a future WrestleMania.

With the former WWE Champion teasing a possible return to wrap up his career in pro wrestling, would you want to see Kurt Angle make one last run in the WWE or just remain in TNA until he decides to retire?
