US Olympic Trials 2012: Sunday Event Schedule, TV Info and More

Patrick ClarkeJun 7, 2018

The 2012 U.S. Olympic Track Trials from Hayward Field at the University of Oregon are set to conclude on Sunday.

Several final events are sure to have fans on the edge of their seats and athletes ecstatic as they book their trip to London this summer with Team USA.ย

All eyes will be on Wallace Spearmon Jr. in the men's 200-meter dash.

Spearmon finished in third in the event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but was disqualified for stepping out of his lane. The heartbreak from four years ago will surely have the 27-year-old favorite motivated to come out on top this weekend.

Nike sprinters Shawn Crawford and Darvis Patton look to be Spearmon's toughest competition in the 200.

The women's 400-meter hurdles final will be another can't-miss event on Sunday.

Lashinda Demus looks to qualify for her first ever Summer Games by keeping up her fast pace. Demus ran the event in a time of 54.41 seconds in the semifinal, the fastest of any woman in the field.

Like Spearmon, Demus will have plenty of inspiration to run her best race on Sunday.

Here is everything you need to know to keep up on Sunday's action at the final day of competition at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track Trials.ย
