Liverpool Transfer Rumors: Hugo Lloris Ideal Candidate to Supplant Pepe Reina
With the potential exit of their current goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, Liverpool appears ready to fill the void by bringing in Hugh Lloris as their next netminder, according to the Mirror.
Despite this being the right move, is it even worth talking about if we have yet to find out what Reina wants to do? The same piece by the Mirror also points out that Reina has already stated his displeasure with his current club and that could be the driving force behind his departure.
"Reina, 29, claimed in a recent interview Liverpool are not the club that he and Fernando Torres had joined."

So the dissension in the Liverpool ranks is there, opening the door for this move to put Lloris in net.
Most recently, Lloris was the captain of the French team during their disappointing Euro 2012 run that ended in the quarterfinals at the hands of Spain. However, Lloris did have seven shutouts in 14 international matches from 2011-12.
Losing a goalkeeper like Reina is a big deal, but replacing him with Lloris would soften the blow. The 25-year-old is often considered one of the best, most consistent netminders in Europe. If anyone has the skill set to proceed the enormous shoes left by Reina, Lloris has the goods.
Lloris makes great decisions in net and commands his box well. He is also one of the best at defending one-on-one situations and is a threat to shut out even the best offensive clubs in the sport.
And if you didn't believe he was a top goalkeeper, just take a look at his hardware. Lloris won the UNFP Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award three times.
Lloris is more than qualified to take the next step in joining the Reds. His resume speaks for itself and there are few, if any, available goalkeepers that are better prepared to replace Reina than Lloris.
