Tim Tebow Hype Gets Special Treament with "Wild Rise" on E!

The E! Network made a gross assumption I am willing to bet against: We have seen the peak of Tebowmania. 

In fact, I will wager the best, or worst, for the haters out there—Tebow's hype isn't going to come any time soon. 

The network is premiering a 30-minute special on the most talked-about athlete in recent years, and it will serve to answer questions we could have just assumed. 

E! Online has all the information you need on the half-hour we can pile on top of the rest of Tebow coverage. 

The burning question they needed to answer so badly and dedicate the airtime to is how Tim Tebow rose to super stardom.

Luckily, E! will answer all those burning questions with the special Tim Tebow's Wild Rise. The 30-minute profile, airing July 2, focuses on the athlete's success both on and off the field—from his devout Christian faith to the controversy that surrounds him—by speaking to his close friends, former high school and college football coaches, sports journalists and pop culture experts.

The special will air at 8 p.m. on July 2, and, judging by the promo, it generally hits on subjects we have seen done before. 

Apparently, discussion will be had on how Tebow could possibly make it through Florida with his celibacy intact. 

Romance rumors and gossip seem to be the centerpiece of this thing. 

I will take my cynic hat off for just a second to remark on one thing I gleaned from the promo. It is rather remarkable that the New York Jets' Tebow has remained so grounded. 

Urban Meyer and others feature to give us insight into a young man who was a rock star in college and still became a bigger name in recent years. 

That kind of fanfare would go to anyone's head, yet the pious QB seems to be the same guy he was as a Gator. 

The special aims to discuss the peak of Tebowmania. Funny, I don't think we have seen that moment come to pass just yet.
