QMJHL: Quebec Remparts Defeat Montreal Juniors 2-0
The Juniors welcomed Patrick Roy and the Quebec Remparts, Friday evening, in front of a sold out crowd at the Verdun Auditorium.
Unable to find their scoring touch with some of their top players out of the lineup, the Juniors came up short this evening, falling by a score of 2-0.
The first two periods saw no offence from either teams in a battle of goalies—Jake Allen for the Juniors and Charles Lavigne for the Remparts.
It was only midway through the third period that saw a goal reach the back of the net, as Benjamin Breault got the Remparts on the board and up 1-0.
The rest of the period saw back-and-forth action between the two teams, but the Juniors were unable to produce any offence tonight. With goalie Jake Allen pulled, Breault sealed the deal for the Remparts, with his second goal of the night and a shutout for Charles Lavigne.
The Juniors play again on Sunday afternoon at the Verdun Auditorium against the Gatineau Olympics. Puck drop is at 4:30 p.m.
