WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Ric Flair and Friday's Top WWE Buzz
Yesterday, we talked about the reason WWE is able to stay successful, despite a lot of booking problems, is that wrestling fans are always thinking there is going to be a pay-off in the future.
Today's topic kind of fits along those lines. One reason that you come here every weekday is to see news, rumors and links to stories that point to possible future directions. Even if those rumors turn out to be garbage, it is the anticipation that drives the business.
We don't want the wool pulled over our eyes as much as Vince McMahon tries to, but if there are pleasant surprises, that makes everything okay.

Here is the latest look at things that will help build anticipation and fuel your interest for SmackDown and Raw.
GOLDBERG WANTS LESNAR
Just hearing the names Goldberg and Brock Lesnar in the same sentence makes me cringe, as everyone knows what happened at WrestleMania XX. The new report that Goldberg contacted Lesnar to say he wanted to work an angle made me curl up in the fetal position.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will WWE use Goldberg again?
Our Take: I would never say never to anything in this business, but with Triple H in an even more prominent position now I can't see it happening. He was never high on Goldberg as a performer, and helped make sure no one cared about him by the middle of his run with the company in 2003.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Failed Angles
As much as I loathed the Goldberg-Lesnar match, it probably wasn't that bad. It was just the perfect storm of everyone knowing those two were leaving, and their general lack of interest in doing a match that night which makes it a dark memory in WrestleMania history.

BROCK LESNAR'S APPEARANCE A MYSTERY
Yesterday, we discussed the report that WWE confirmed Lesnar would appear at the 1,000th Raw. Now, there are new details about local advertisements for the show, with the conclusion asking "what part will he play?"
Question on Everybody's Mind: What part will Lesnar play?
Our Take: Since Lesnar is going to be the heel in his feud with Triple H, he has to get in The Game's head. I think the best way to do that would be to have Lesnar take out Shawn Michaels, who in all likelihood will be doing a D-X reunion on the show.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Mystery Angles
I would have preferred Lesnar to have issued the challenge, Triple H rejecting it, either because his arm wasn't ready or not feeling like he needs to, after Lesnar broke it on his last Raw appearance. Then you have Lesnar do something so evil Triple H has no choice.

RIC FLAIR CAN'T GO TO WWE...YET
It has been a while since there was an update on Ric Flair and WWE. Turns out the reason for that is because TNA made Flair sign a non-compete clause as a condition of his release, preventing him from going anywhere right now.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What role will there be in WWE for Flair, if he signs?
Our Take: Hopefully anything but wrestling. It's not that I hate seeing Flair wrestle, it's just very painful to watch because his body is so banged up. Maybe he can be the new general manager, which would actually be a good idea and an upgrade on Johnny Ace.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Awesome Angles
The one problem that WWE would have with Flair being the GM is no one would root against him, and Vince McMahon has it in his head that you need to have an evil person in charge.
