Twitter Hot Links: All the Fantasy Football & NFL News That's Fit to Tweet

Jim DayJun 7, 2018

Twitter is like a second home to me. Sometimes it feels like I live there, and one of the main reasons is there is no better way to have access to so many great articles. Sometimes the problem is the amount of info can fly by so quickly it is hard to keep up.

That’s what these articles are for; to give you as much of that info as you can stand. Each week there will be plenty of fantasy articles included here but there will also be general team articles from NFL beat writers to deliver inside information.

TOP NEWS

Colts Jaguars Football
Rams Seahawks Football
Mississippi Football

The following are some of the best articles from Twitter over the last couple of days.

Matt Waldman (@MattWaldman) is a writer for FootballGuys, but he is also the author of the great Rookie Scouting Portfolio every year. If you’ve never read it, I highly suggest grabbing a copy because the depth of information is extreme. His new project is called the RSP Football Writers Project and you can find more info about it here

His latest article on FootballGuys is another piece in his Insanity Series, this one about Brandon Lloyd and whether or not he thinks Lloyd is a good play this year.

Evan Silva (@EvanSilva) of NBC Sports and Rotoworld is one of the most comprehensive fantasy writers, and he recently took a report that Ron Jaworski did on SportsCenter about Cam Newton and transcribed it for those that missed the original report. Jaws answers the question about whether or not Newton can be a special passer.

Gary Davenport (@IDPManor) is a writer for IDP Manor, Fantasy Sharks and Bleacher Report, and this week he looks at Fantasy Gambles that will ruin your season and Fantasy Football Locks. Give them a read. Gary is one of the toughest fantasy football players I have ever played against, so listening to his advice can lead to big things for your fantasy teams.

One of the most prolific Tweeters in the fantasy realm is Chet Gresham (@Chet_G). Not only does he write for Bleacher Report but he also runs The Fake Football. He recently passed the 70,000 tweet mark. His latest at Bleacher Report is Breaking Down RB Committees for 2012.

Another article worthy of reading at The Fake Football is Jeff Brubach’s (@OrangeBru) take on Fantasy Tiers for 2012.

Pro Football Focus is another site that is just pouring out info every day. This week’s offerings include Mike Woellert’s (@PFF_MWoellert) take on IDP ADP Analysis- Linebackers, Chad Parson’s (@PFF_ChadParsons) look at Rookie Productivity History and Mike Clay’s (@MikeClayNFL) newest stat: WR Average Depth of Target (aDOT).

Dynasty Football Warehouse is new to the scene but they are pushing out excellent articles. Their latest is a piece by John Evans (@evansjo5) called Take Your Redraft Back to the Future. John also co-hosts an excellent podcast with Liz Loza (@Thefootballgirl) called the X’s & Y’s Podcast. If you haven’t heard it yet, I highly recommend it.

The PigskinGuy blog is another excellent source of information and this week @FantasyFBPundit does a guest blog to help you with a Draft Day Decision: Lynch or Murray. Brad Evans (@YahooNoise)from Yahoo Fantasy takes a closer look at whether or not you should draft Adrian Peterson.  In that same vein Joe Hoffman (@IconJoe) from Icon Fantasy Sports puts Mark Ingram under a Spotlight.

Beat Writer Corner

There are well over 200 NFL beat writers on Twitter and they are a huge resource of information. Here are some of the highlights of the week.

Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks) of NFL.com is a former NFL Scout and this week he talks about the Seven Most Dominant Players in the NFL.

The Miami QB situation is completely up in the air right now, but Omar Kelly (@OmarKelly) of the Sun Sentinel thinks that the Dolphins best approach is to slow cook Ryan Tannehill.

Mike Sando (@espn_nfcwest) of ESPN takes a look at the Seahawks’ Hidden Treasure: Wide Receiver. What others see as a unit with issues, Mike makes the case that this could be a strong unit for this team.

JustBlogBaby is a blog about the Oakland Raiders, and this week Chris Shellcroft (@justblogbaby) takes a look at the Raiders Wide Receiver group and how their development is crucial to the team.

Jane McManus (@janesports) of ESPNNewYork talks with a former Jets scout about the Jets’ issues heading into 2012.

That’s for today folks. Expect more of these each week.
