Sunrise in the NFC East: The Division's Top Links on June 27, 2012

We're now exactly 10 weeks away from the NFC East/NFL regular season opener between the Giants and the Cowboys on Wednesday, Sept. 5. But I'm betting it'll feel a lot shorter than that. Hang tough and keep preparing.

Brett Favre tells the NFL Network he thinks Tony Romo is more like him than any other quarterback. More on this later today on the NFC East blog.

Another legendary quarterback weighs in on Romo. This time, Roger Staubach: "It's really a mystery to me why people don't understand how really good he is."

Calvin Watkins has another stab at Cowboys roster projections.

New York Giants

From Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN New York: Chris Canty not only thinks Jason Pierre-Paul is better than DeMarcus Ware, but he's already prepared to make a comparison to Reggie White. 

Also from Ohm: John Mara talks about picking Eli Manning over Philip Rivers in 2004:

You can probably see where this is going: The Cowboys sent Michael Vick a birthday greeting card via Twitter on Tuesday (pictured above).

Sheil Kapadia has numbers and charts to support the claim that Vick struggles against blitzes.
