Manchester City Transfer News: Edinson Cavani No Longer an Option for Citizens
Napoli star Edinson Cavani was touted as a potential summer singing for Manchester City over the transfer window, but it appears that is no longer an option after the striker stated his intentions to remain at the Italian club.
According to The Sun, Napoli have told City and Chelsea—and any other club who needs to hear it—that the 25-year-old will not be leaving, regardless of what offers and deals are made to try to sign him.
Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon confirmed the striker will not be leaving Italy:

"I can confirm that Cavani is not for sale at any price.
The president has made it clear to everybody how he feels about a transfer. And Edi, too, has been very clear about his intention to stay at Napoli.
We don't have any meetings scheduled to discuss his future. There's no need to talk about it. We have a very close relation with Edinson.
"
Cavani has netted 66 goals in 94 games for the Serie A side and the club are desperate to keep him on for next season, particularly with prized asset Ezequiel Lavezzi on the verge of joining Paris St. Germain.
With the Uruguayan out of the picture, Manchester City will have to turn their attention elsewhere if they are looking to bring in new attacking talent, especially if their highly-publicized interest in Robin van Persie continues to go nowhere.
Who should Manchester City look to bring in over the transfer window?
