After starting the season 0-4 against the Top 25, the Wildcats (8-3, 20-4) have since gone 3-0 against the nation's best and are currently on a six-game win streak. They haven't exactly accomplished this quietly either. They just scored over 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time since...ever. In the game before that they scored 94.

West Virginia (5-6, 16-8) haven't been as successful recently. In their last six games, they are 2-4, although all four losses have come against the Top 25. The Mountaineers have two wins against the Top 25 this season, compared to seven losses. A victory over a hot Villanova team would be a huge statement.

Both the frontcourt and backcourt match up well in this game—Da'Sean Butler of West Virginia is going to have his work cut out for him playing against Dante Cunningham, and Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher of Villanova are going to have to play outstanding basketball to take down Alex Ruoff and Darryl Bryant.

This is the only time these two teams will face each other during the regular season.
