John Teixeira vs. Hugo Viana
Teixeira is 13-0-1 and has submitted nine of his opponents en route to an undefeated record that features only one draw against Rodrigo Goiana de Lima in 2008. He should be the favorite against a less experienced Hugo Viana, who has won five decisions in five career pro fights.
Both are young and on the rise, so Saturday's bout will likely prove to be the wall for the loser, while the winner will keep his dreams of becoming a UFC mainstay alive.
Felipe Arantes vs. Milton Vieira
Felipe "Sertanejo" Arantes has knocked out six en route to a 14-4, 2 NC record. The 24-year-old will take on the slightly bigger and older Milton Vieira on Saturday.
Vieira, a 33-year-old lightweight, has lost seven fights in his career, all via decision.
The submission artist, Vieira will likely attempt to lure Arantes into a compromising position at UFC 147.
Thiago Perpetuo vs. Leonardo Mafra
Thiago "Bodao" Perpetuo has won 75 percent of his fights via knockout. He will look to build on that impressive number at UFC 147 against fellow countryman Leonardo "Macarrao" Mafra.
Mafa, a middleweight like Perpetuo, is 5-0 in his young career, taking two decisions and winning the rest via knockout.
The more experienced Perpetuo will have the edge, but as was already mentioned, Mafra possesses the power and strength necessary to end the fight early.
