2012 NHL Draft Live Coverage: Highlight Videos for Every Team's 1st-Round Pick

The 2012 NHL entry draft is finally upon us, and it is time to get things started. Throughout the night, we will keep you up to date on all 30 first-round picks, potential trades and other moves made in Pittsburgh.

Nail Yakupov is the top forward prospect in the draft, but will he be selected first? Ryan Murray is considered the top defensive prospect, and there is a good chance he will be taken by the Edmonton Oilers at No. 1.

Bleacher Report will keep you up to date and will provide you with highlights for each first-round pick throughout the evening.

Edmonton Oilers: Nail Yakupov

The Edmonton Oilers had the No. 1 pick in the NHL Entry Draft and selected Nail Yakupov of the Sarnia Sting. Yakupov scored 31 goals and assisted on 38 others for 69 points during the 2011-12 OHL season.

Yakupov will potentially accompany Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall as a top line made up of former No.1 picks.

Columbus Blue Jackets: Ryan Murray
