Wimbledon Odds 2012: Novak Djokovic and More Great Picks to Win

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

The 2012 Wimbledon Championships are set to begin at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on June 25 and run until July 8. Betters who cannot wait to get a piece of the action can already start placing some wagers on the winner of this tournament.

It’s going to be a great event, with the “Big Three” once again set to dominate the competition and likely meet one another on the court in some epic showdowns.

Let’s take a look at which players you should wager on to win on the Men’s side.

Novak Djokovic – 7/4

Djokovic is last year’s winner and having another epic season in 2012. If it weren’t for Rafael Nadal foiling him on the clay court in the French Open finals, Djoker would be going for his fifth straight Grand Slam victory.

While these aren’t the best odds for the Serbian star, he’s likely going to win the tournament and there is no reason to doubt his excellent abilities, especially on the grass of Wimbledon.

Rafael Nadal – 2/1

Nadal is arguably the best tennis player in the world right now, but he’s been showcasing his talents on the favorable clay courts.

He’s gotten better at managing the grass in recent years—he won in 2008 and 2010—but the King of Clay will have a tough time handling Djokovic if they meet in the Finals.

Make this bet if you think someone will upset the favorite before the final match, giving Nadal the inside track.

Andy Murray – 13/2

Murray is the closest thing to a long shot worth betting at Wimbledon. He’s the fourth-best player in the world, but outside of the latter two players and Roger Federer, no one else has a shot at winning.

If you feel like gambling and want a better payout, wager on the Scotsman winning his first Grand Slam in Great Britain.
