Christian Cage On ECW Is a Bad Move

I usually don't rant about WWE as I'm not the kind of person who likes to rant about everything,but last night's ECW annoyed me so much that I couldn't hold back.

I'm not a fan of ECW by any stretch of the imagination. Sure, the original ECW was fresh and fun to watch, but nowadays it is, to me a glorified "Heat" or "Velocity".

Even after the WWE gave ECW talent from RAW in the form of Paul Burchill, Finlay and John Morrison, the group has yet to get anything in relation to ECW rolling. There have been no main story lines, no big feud and no future stars.

To add fuel to the fire of my ever dislike of the ECW brand, last night WWE brought back Christian. Christian, in my opinion, is one of the greatest acquisitions in the WWE ever. Everyone knew he was coming and speculated when and how it would happen. To be frank, WWE dropped the ball.

WWE could have had Christian come in on SmackDown and renew his tag team with Edge or he could have returned on SmackDown and aligned with Jeff Hardy and have an amazing tag team match at WrestleMania. Not only that, but he could have returned on RAW and picked up where he left off with a feud with Chris Jericho. That would have been an amazing one-on-one match at WrestleMania because we all know that WWE is struggling to find an opponent for Jericho, hence the Ric Flair and Mickey Rourke debacle as of late.

Instead, they decided to have Christian return on ECW less than a week before a Pay-Per View. Not only have they misplaced this great talent, but they have misused him terribly. Now they have Christian, a former TNA World Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion and a multiple time Tag Team Champion, pitted up against a young fresh up and comer and a veteran in the shape of Swagger and Finlay.

To me, it seems like a mistimed judgement on the part of WWE. This talent is a main event class superstar, which is not to be wasted on ECW.

Not only have they thrown him into a title challenge within a week of his debut, but they have gave him his old "Captain Charisma and his peeps" gimmick. This was another poor decision on WWE's part as they could have given him a fresh new gimmick and pushed him as far as the main event.

Since that isn't happening any time soon, what do you guys think is the future for Christian?
