Sheamus Defeats Dolph Ziggler at WWE No Way Out: Why Ziggler Should Have Won

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 7, 2018

Dolph Ziggler failed yet again to capture the World title at No Way Out and even though he was a last-minute replacement for Alberto Del Rio, his loss left a lot of fans upset.

The crowd in New Jersey was split down the middle at the end of the match between Sheamus and Ziggler, but throughout the match Ziggler seemed to have the lion's share of the fans of his side.

With Ziggler being known as one of WWE's most talented young performers it makes many wonder why he has only held a World title for less than a day and never had a major title win.

Even without Vickie, Ziggler can stand alone as one of WWE's best current heels. He is great at showing off and often times his antics will gain him the support of the crowds over his baby face opponents.

Sheamus and CM Punk have been good baby face champions, but WWE could benefit from a cocky young heel holding one of the titles right now considering every single title is held by a baby face at this point.

The Miz and Alberto Del Rio had a lot of pressure on them to be WWE's next great heel and both of them did well, but there is no denying the potential Ziggler has.

He has one of the best skill sets in WWE with his amateur wrestling background, and he has proven time and time again that whether he has three or 30 minutes, win or lose, he will be remembered at the end of the night.

Considering he managed to make it out of the awful cheerleading stable, The Spirit Squad, as well as being sent back to developmental twice, it is a miracle he has made it this far.

Nick Nemeth took a terrible gimmick and an awful ring name and he turned himself into one of the hottest young names in the business, and because of that he deserved to finally have a real World title win which he did not end up getting.

Perhaps WWE will take notice now and continue his feud with Sheamus. Despite one botched move, Ziggler and Sheamus had one of the better matches of the whole pay-per-view.

I am looking forward to what Ziggler does after he finally separates from Vickie, and hopefully by the end of 2012 we have Ziggler as the top champion of one of the two shows.

Do you think Dolph Ziggler deserved to win the World title at No Way Out?
