WWE No Way Out 2012: WWE Title Match and Best Matches of the Night

Tim KeeneyJun 4, 2018

WWE No Way Out 2012 was hit or miss in some places, but the places that hit were very good.

Yes, the event, much like last month's Over the Limit, was lacking in certain places. Ryback beat up on two guys who combined weren't as big as him in one of a couple obvious time-fillers, no titles changed hands and everything was pretty predictable.

But even if they were predictable, that doesn't mean a few of the matches weren't as exciting and action-packed as ever inside the ring.

Let's take a look at the ones that didn't disappoint.

Triple Threat Match: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan

Once again, Punk and Bryan were involved in what should have been the main event, but this time, the Big Red Monster was also involved.

This match got a lot of time, and rightfully so. Despite the unnecessary AJ attention, it didn't fail to live up to expectations.

Punk and Bryan—former friends—teamed up early against Kane and provided some action from all over the ring, including the top of the ropes. After they fought over who would pin Kane, however, the short-lived alliance was over.

All three took turns going at each other. They worked together beautifully, and while I was worried about Kane ruining Punk and Bryan's chemistry, it worked well.

Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler

While the Triple Threat Match was the Match of the Night for me, this one comes in a close second.

These two went back and forth at each other, both inside the ring, as they both landed some huge moves, and off the top ropes, where Ziggler attempted some dangerous acrobatics.

While the match slowed down a few times, it was mostly fast-paced and full of tons of exciting action. Sheamus came out on top in the actual match, but Ziggler continues to see his popularity rise to new heights.

The Natural very well may be the real winner of the night.

Christian vs. Cody Rhodes

Much like Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler, this match was simply two talented wrestlers going at each other with some fast-paced action and without any distractions.

Sometimes those make for the best matches, and that was once again true on Sunday night.

Some of the biggest highlights of this match came outside the ring. For example, Christian's DDT off the steps was easily one of the best moves of the night.

This one may have only gotten 10 minutes or so, but when Christian ended it with a spear, it was clear this was far from a disappointment.
