US Open Golf TV Schedule 2012: Total Coverage Info for Final Round
The final round of the 2012 US Open is going to feature a few familiar names vying for the top spot—Graeme McDowell, Jim Furyk, Lee Westwood, Ernie Else and of course Tiger Woods, to name a few—and you never do know who's going to step up their game when it's all on the line and come away a deserving champion.
What does that mean? Simply put, for a sports fan, this final round is must-see TV.
Here's all the information you need to know regarding what is sure to be an epic final round:
When: Sunday, June 17th at 4 p.m. EST to 10 p.m. EST
Where: The Olympic Club. San Francisco, California
Watch: NBC
Online: You can check out live video from holes 8 and 18 on your computer, iPhone or Android at usopen.com.
Leaderboard: You can follow the official US Open leaderboard right here.
Player To Watch
Lee Westwood appears to be on somewhat of a hot streak right now, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him continue that into the final round and win this whole thing. He's the No. 3 player in the world golf rankings, but has never won a major title.
Westwood shot a very impressive three-under for his third round, which included five birdies, and he currently finds himself tied for fourth and two shots off the lead heading into the final round. Look for Westwood to make a huge push here on championship Sunday.
Tiger Time
Tiger will be teeing off at 4:50 EST and he'll be paired with Casey Wittenberg. Woods is currently tied for 14th place at four-over par on the tournament.
Prediction
McDowell is obviously playing well and he has the experience of winning the US Open in 2010 on his side. That said, it's tough to deny how well Westwood played in Round 3, so I see it coming down to these two guys at the end.
Pick: Lee Westbrook wins the 2012 US Open.
