DOB: 8/13/1994

Team: Leksands IF (Sweden)

Filip Forsberg of Sweden reminds many people of another talented two-way forward from the Scandinavia country, former Colorado Avalanche star and future Hall of Famer Peter Forsberg. His exceptional two-way game makes him the best center prospect in this draft class, but the problem is that he likely won't come to the NHL for the 2012-13 season.

He has the truculence that general managers like Brian Burke of the Toronto Maple Leafs want from top-line forwards. His improving defensive skills will allow him to receive plenty of ice time when he finally arrives to the NHL. He is well positioned in his own zone and also backchecks strongly. His defensive instincts are very impressive for someone who has such gifted offensive skills.

He doesn't have the same size as Boston Bruins star Milan Lucic, but he is a better skater and passer than the Boston power forward.

His puck-handling skills are quite impressive for someone of his size, and he can be a playmaker as a center or from the wing position, so he will add some needed versatility to the roster. Forsberg is the complete package and has very few weaknesses to his game. He could certainly end up being the best player of this draft and one of the elite NHL players, thanks to his ability to excel at both ends of the ice.

Since he won't come to North America for a few years, selling fans the idea of future success may be difficult. However, Forsberg is too great of a talent to rush to the NHL just so the team can see immediate improvement next season.
