US Open Golf TV Schedule 2012: Comprehensive Coverage Info for Weekend Rounds

Tiger Woods will not be denied in this tournament. He goes into Round 3 action tied for the lead at one-under with Jim Furyk and David Toms, after shooting an even-par 70 on Friday. As usual, he will be the center of attention as play continues on the final two days.

Woods has shown the consistency necessary to stay amongst the leaders throughout, and when he does that he is still the most dangerous player in the world.

The Olympic course in San Francisco is one of the most challenging courses in the world. It will inflate the scores of even the elite players, which is why Tiger's 69 and 70 through the first two rounds were so impressive.

It's not just the scores, it's the way he is playing and the way he's striking and controlling his shots.

Woods was asked how long it's been since he hit the golf ball this well. Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News quoted him, via Boston Herald:

"

“Been a very long time,” Woods said. “Because don’t forget, I went through all of last year hurt. Hadn’t been able to practice, and then this year I did well in spurts.

“But now it’s becoming more consistent, day-in and day-out.”

"

That last line is the scary part for his peers. Tiger is finding consistency in this, the second-phase of his remarkable career. If this consistency continues, Tiger's dominance is returning.
