US Open Golf Live: Where to Catch All This Weekend's Action

Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and now Michael Thompson highlight this year’s U.S. Open, which is already set to be one of the best golfing events of the year.

Early in the tournament, Michael Thompson and Graeme McDowell took surprise early leads in Round 2 with Tiger Woods trailing shortly behind them. No. 1 ranked Luke Donald is far behind the pack with a +11 score early on Friday, and will seek redemption this weekend and try to prove why he is seeded so highly. Rory McIlroy, too, sits below the leaders and needs much improvement to gain recognition this weekend.

The U.S. Open is one of the few events in sports in which, regardless of your rooting interest, many fans will find themselves watching for the pure thrill, entertainment and significance of the event.

The historic tournament is one that will be talked about, debated and deliberated for weeks, and this year’s action will prove to be as engaging as ever. With Tiger Woods hoping to rekindle his reputation as the best player in the world, and with young stars like Luke Donald hoping to prove the opposite is true for Woods, fans will not want to miss this year’s action.
