WWE No Way out 2012 Predictions: John Cena Is Briefly Headed for Unemployment
John Cena will be out of a job shortly. Of course not in real life, but in a stunning turn of events from WWE Creative.
OK, so it's not so stunning.
In fact, it seems like the only way for the main event at WWE No Way Out to end. In case you've been away, the main event is Cena vs. Big Show. If Cena loses, he will be fired, and if Show loses then John Laurinaitis will be fired.

Firing John Laurinaitis wouldn't do much for anyone involved, but canning Cena creates a whole new twist on things.
Let me elaborate:
If Cena is fired, it will be the biggest piece of "news" in the WWE for some time. Love him or hate him, he's still Cena and even his biggest critics would feel his absence. The WWE creative team knows this, and what better way to prove it than by further putting Cena over as the eternal face.
This could give Cena a much-needed break from WWE programming. With Randy Orton gone for who knows how long, this would allow for another group of faces to take center stage.
All the while, fans can speculate on his return.
Keep in mind, the Big Show knocked out Vince McMahon. If that's what you want to call this pitiful act of execution:
This will give McMahon an axe to grind with the Big Show. When McMahon returns to WWE TV, in my scenario he would bring Cena back with him in some as yet discussed loophole.
Cena you're "re-hired!"
Cena could then lead the attack against Laurinaitis and company. It'll only take a month or so to establish the Big Show as the biggest and baddest heel in the company. By that time a Cena vs. Big Show would have more steam behind it—or at least that's what creative would be hoping for.
Predictable? Yes, and for that reason, I hope like hell I'm wrong. But I have been caught expecting too much before. This time I figured I'd predict the most obvious outcome.
