5 Reasons Dolph Ziggler Should Be the Next Face of the WWE

Dolph Ziggler has the tools and means to become the next face of the WWE.

Ziggler has become a heel that everyone loves to hate.  He’s also gained the respect of the adult wrestling fans for his in-ring ability.

Many fans wonder when will Dolph Ziggler get his chance to carry the WWE train.  It seems inevitable for the self-proclaimed “Showoff.”    

Ziggler has become the new No. 1 contender to face Sheamus at No Way Out for the World Heavyweight Championship.  Whether he wins it again is up to debate. 

Regardless of the match’s outcome, Ziggler will put on a show and prove to all he belongs in the main-event spotlight. 

Here are five reasons why Dolph Ziggler should be the WWE’s next face.    

5. He Can Be the Cash Cow

Ziggler has proven he can bring more fans in through social media.

He constantly hounds Zack Ryder on Ryder’s web show, “Z True Long Island Story,” and Ziggler has his own show as the host of “WWE Download.”

Ziggler also advertises himself on Twitter.  He currently has over 300,000 followers and invented the phrases “#HEEL” and “Later, marks.” 

Not bad for a heel who hasn’t gotten a run with a heavyweight championship.

4. Fan Connection

Ziggler is already hitting the right buttons with fans. 

He does his job admirably when he gets the crowd to boo him.  That PG demographic loves to hate Ziggler.  However, something else has happened.

Adults are cheering for Ziggler.  During last Monday’s RAW showing, adults chanted, “Let’s go Ziggler!” 

The front office should take notice of Ziggler’s success and popularity amongst fans, regardless of the reaction he gets.

3. Fearless Heel

Ziggler is not afraid of turning the crowd against him.  In fact, he thrives off the fans’ hatred of him.

When Ziggler joined forces with current manager Vickie Guerrero, the fans hated him even more.  When he started teaming up with Jack Swagger, fans loathed him.

He’s not afraid to challenge the big faces of the WWE.  He battled with Edge last year for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Ziggler also has put on two amazing matches against WWE Champion CM Punk.

All he cares about is himself and putting on a show that will keep fans talking.

2. Athletic Ability

Ziggler can wrestle any style of match with any opponent.

He’s battled high-flyers, such as Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston.  He’s fought technicians like Punk and Daniel Bryan in classic bouts. 

He can even hang with the big men, as he’s wrestled Sheamus before in great TV matches.

Ziggler can go with the best of them, and he can sell moves with incredible ease. 

His timing is nearly perfect.  Ziggler can fight anyone, and his matches aren’t boring.  

1. 'It Factor'

All these abilities and accomplishments wouldn’t have happened if Dolph Ziggler didn’t have “it.” 

He has the catchphrases.  He has the nickname.  He has chemistry with the fans and whomever he faces.

Ziggler has that athletic ability that can gel with any opponent.  And he knows how to work the crowd.
