Report Card Grades for Arkansas Football's New Uniforms
The Arkansas Razorbacks have decided that if you look good, you play good. So the program has teamed up with Nike and switched up the uniforms for the 2012 season. These new looks are sure to cause a stir throughout the college football world. Some are going to love the new look, while others will wish they weren't changed at all. Regardless, everyone is sure to have an opinion.
The new uniforms are a big recruiting tactic and will hopefully help draw in more top recruits in the years to come.
We already broke down all of the uniforms in the SEC; here are the report card grades for the Arkansas Razorbacks' new unis.
Color Scheme
1 of 6For the most part, Arkansas decided to stick with the more traditional colors in cardinal and white. I like the white on white and red on red, although the greyish uniform really threw me for a loop. I don't necessarily prefer that color and think if they were going to go with a non-school color, they should have gone with black, not grey.
Overall, I like that they stayed true to the school colors for the most part and didn't decide to get all crazy on us.
Grade: B+
Tradition
2 of 6Like I said in the last slide, Arkansas kept its promise and didn't change the color combos too much, staying true to the program. It's basically just a newer version of the older uniforms. Besides those hideous looking grey uniforms, the Razorbacks did a good job of trying to please both sides of the fence with this change.
Grade: A
Overall
3 of 6Overall, the new uniforms are a good look for Arkansas heading into the 2012 season. There are enough different combinations to keep things fresh throughout the season and the helmets are cool-looking. White on white, with white helmets also looks neat. The uniforms could be a lot worse, as we have seen in the past, which means you can't be that upset about the new look.
They are classy and as long as they get the players hyped for the new season and help the Razorbacks win football games, who cares?
Grade: B
Wow Factor
4 of 6There really isn't much of a "wow" factor with the new uniforms. For the most part, the colors and design of the uniform is exactly what we thought they were going to be. The gray uniform should have caught you off guard, but that doesn't necessarily mean it looks good.
Arkansas did a good job of keeping things simple and that eliminates much of a "wow" factor.
Grade: C
How It Could Be Better
5 of 6Along with having a white on white uniform, get rid of the grey and add an all-black. Many may not agree with that, but it should be a law that every team has an all-black uniform. Other than that, there really isn't much to complain about with the change.
How It Could Be Worse
6 of 6Do I really need to say any more about that?
