Pacquiao vs. Bradley Round-by-Round: Bradley Rocked by Punches in Round 4
Manny Pacquiao is on a mission, both religiously in his personal life and in the ring against Timothy Bradley. His left-handed punches have gotten Bradley off-balance and out of sorts in the ring and bode well for the fighter going forward tonight.
Pacman landed his left hand at will. Bradley's early strategy of allowing Pacquiao to reach forward and get off-balance worked in Round 1, but Pacquiao has landed his southpaw punches basically any time he wanted with Round 4 in the books.
Clearly in control after winning the first four rounds, Pacquiao found his groove by attacking the slower-moving Bradley anywhere in the ring.
Highlighted by a flurry of punches in Round 4 that saw Bradley visibly shaken and somewhat disoriented, Bradley can't decide whether to clinch with Pacman or attack and trade shots with the 33-year-old.
The 25-year-old Bradley has been able to land a few late-round, right-handed shots to Pacquiao, but the defense and combinations have been too much too handle.
Bradley has been able to hang around, though. Give him credit, as the pre-fight videos and promos indicated, this man wants to win the title. His drive is likely keeping him in the ring, and he'll have to use it to turn the tables in the last eight rounds of the fight.
If Bradley wants to have any chance down the stretch, it's likely he'll have to KO Pacquiao with every last bit of strength he can muster. Pacman has been in a groove with his jabs, defense and overall approach to Bradley, and got everything he wanted after a third of the fight.
You have to love Bradley's fight and intensity, especially in the middle of such a one-sided fight.
Pacquiao looks well on his way to another victory and march toward Floyd "Money" Mayweather, should the opportunity ever present itself.
