The Eastern Conference finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics will return to South Florida this weekend for a decisive Game 7.

The papier-mache piñatas that LeBron haters have filled with their own personal angst toward this immensely gifted athlete have survived for another couple days, maybe longer.

The NBA’s most polarizing superstar, whom many Americans seem to root against, threw a party of his own last night at the TD Garden in Boston.

James enjoyed his own personal fiesta, overwhelming the surging Celtics and silencing a giddy home crowd that expected to celebrate a series-ending victory on the New Englanders’ parquet floor.

James pulled down 15 rebounds and scored 45 points on 16-of-29 shooting in leading the Heat to a convincing 98-79 victory over the exasperated Celtics. 

The three-time NBA Most Valuable Player pushed away all thought of playoff elimination, rejected any media negativity surrounding his previous fourth quarter playoff play and delivered perhaps his greatest postseason performance of his career.

Frustrated Celtics fans started filing out of the quieted TD Garden midway through the fourth quarter of last night’s game, nervously pondering what the party-planning James has in store for an encore performance in South Florida this weekend. 

Dour Celtics fans may be pulling down their piñatas and postponing Heat elimination parties in New England, but rejuvenated Heat fans are laughing that the candy and treats that New Englanders thought were in the belly of their perceived James piñata was actually the heart of a lion.
