Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Must Retain Robin Van Persie at All Costs
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis recently said that he won't be rushed into making a quick decision on Robin van Persie's future.
But the Gunners would be wise to bring back the prolific striker at all costs.
Van Persie is simply too important to the club's success, and if they let him go like Samir Nasri was last summer, the results will be disastrous.

After a horrible start to the season, in which they lost three of their first five Premier League games, van Persie was the catalyst behind Arsenal's resurgence. Thanks to the Dutchman's remarkable nose for the goal, the Gunners played to a respectable third place finish in the EPL.
With regards to Wayne Rooney, van Persie was unquestionably the best striker in the league last season, scoring 30 goals and dishing out nine assists in 37 appearances. He continued his success in Champions League play, netting four goals in five games.
Right now, van Persie is with the Dutch national team, and he'll be looking to lead them out of the Group of Death at Euro 2012. But as soon as he returns from the tournament, Arsenal needs to lock him up long-term.
As the saying around London goes, Robin van Persie scores when he wants. And if he signs with another club, Arsenal and their fans will learn what it feels like to be on the wrong end of those glorious chants.
