Bubba Watson Car Chase: Scary Moment a Reminder Fame has a Price
Bubba Watson was involved in a scary car chase on Tuesday in Ohio, according to the Associated Press (via ABC News):
""A car chased me," he said after a 74 in Friday's second round at the Memorial. "Angie was driving. She had to pull over. I switched to driving so I could drive through someone's yard if I had to. But we had to drive away from our house, the house we rented. We drove for 37 minutes."
"We kept driving around and they finally gave up," Watson said. "I was going to keep driving until we felt safe again. That's the first time that's ever happened."
"
Watson's wife and young child were also in the car, according to the AP.
Unfortunately, there are people in this world who go to extreme measures to be with sports stars or make their lives difficult.
Hopefully nothing like this ever happens to Watson again, and his family can enjoy themselves in their community without being bothered by crazy people. Thankfully, no one in his family was hurt as a result of the car chase.
Just like Rory McIlroy, Watson missed the cut at the Memorial, but will certainly be a top contender at the U.S. Open in San Francisco later this month.
The 33-year-old star has four top-10 finishes and one victory on the PGA tour this season.
