Victoria Azarenka Stunned at French Open 2012 by Dominika Cibulkova
Top women's seed Victoria Azarenka was stunningly upset by Dominika Cibulkova in the fourth round of the French Open on Sunday, 6-2, 7-6, (7-4).
"Despite a 1-7 record, Cibulkova has had Azarenka's number. She just couldn't close. Finally closed in 2 today. Out goes No. 1 62 76. #RG12

The No. 15 seed Cibulkova will play the winner of the Samantha Stosur/Sloane Stephens match in the quarterfinals.
Azarenka will not be able to follow up her 2012 Australian Open title with a triumph at Roland Garros. For the seventh time in her career, the Belarusian has failed to advance to the semifinals in Paris.
She started the match off poorly, evidenced by Cibulkova's dominating first-set performance, and couldn't serve well enough in an exciting second set.
With the top seed no longer competing in Paris, No. 2 seed Maria Sharapova and No. 6 Samantha Stosur have a great opportunity to win the French Open title.
We must also not forget about No. 7 seed Li Na, who is the defending champion at the French Open and is still alive in the fourth round.
Sharapova can move past Azarenka in the world rankings if she makes the final at this year's tournament.
"With Azarenka out, Sharapova can get to No. 1 if she makes the final. #RG12

The women's bracket will be very exciting in the final week of the tournament. There are a number of exciting players with a strong chance to win the French Open.
Can Cibulkova use the momentum and excitement of her upset of Azarenka to become the fifth straight first-time Grand Slam winner in women's tennis?
