Brazil vs Mexico: Selecao Will Continue North American Dominance

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

Brazil is going to take down Mexico in a high-scoring friendly at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on Sunday. The Selecao have been rolling lately, and they have always dominated the North American squads.

Brazil is 18-6-5 all time against teams from North America, so it is no surprise that they are finding success on this trip to the U.S. On Wednesday, they took down the Americans 4-1 at FedEx Field near Washington, D.C.

In that match, the Selecao were paced by Neymar and Thiago Silva, and the two Brazalian stars will again lead their team to victory against Mexico.

It won't be easy; El Tri has been playing great. They cruised to victory over Wales last week and that followed nice wins over Serbia and Venezuela, and we can't forget to mention that Mexico is going to have a giant advantage in cheering section.

Technically, this game is on a neutral site, but realistically, it is a huge home-field advantage for El Tri.

Playing in hostile environments is not enough to derail this Brazil team. They have now won nine straight matches—a streak that includes a 2-1 win over Mexico last year in Mexico.

The offenses will be far more dominant in this meeting. Brazil is scoring goals with ease, and they can get them from a multitude of spots. It begins with the sensational Neymar; he is playing better with each match. He will be able to break down El Tri's defense, and will score at least one goal and set up his teammates for some nice looks.

Combine this with the fact that Mexico is far too talented to be kept off the scoreboard and you have all the ingredients for a high-scoring affair. Brazil is going to win 4-2.
