The Georgia vs. Ohio State home-and-home series scheduled for 2020 and 2021 has been cancelled by Ohio State, according to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald. Ohio State had no room on the schedule after the Big Ten and Pac-12 announced a scheduling agreement.
Tennessee announced that junior cornerback Izauea Lanier will not be eligible for the 2012 season. Lanier started nine games last season and was listed as the second-team defensive back behind Prentiss Waggner exiting spring.
Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier told Tommy Hicks of the Mobile (Ala.) Press Register not to expect anything fancy from Alabama's offense in 2012.
