What Will the Magic Do Now?
Assuming that Jameer Nelson decides to have surgery and end the season, LayupDrill brings to you an exclusive article on the point guard possibilities for the Orlando Magic.
Jamaal Tinsley (PG, IND) — Tinsley has yet to play a game this season and could be moving to Orlando shortly. (If GM Otis Smith decides to take his $21 million three-year contract.) Jamaal is a great veteran that could help the team in the point guard position immensely.
Beno Udrih (PG, SAC) — Beno is currently playing for the worst team in the NBA right now and is another possibility for the Orlando Magic this season. Udrih has not played up to his potential this season and could improve greatly on the Magic’s squad.
Earl Watson (PG, OKC) — Veteran Watson would be a perfect fit for the Magic as he can distribute the ball and has had experience all around the league. Watson is not too much of a scorer but makes up for it with his defense and high assists averages.
Sergio Rodriguez (PG, POR) — Rodriguez can produce high assists totals when given an ample amount of playing time. He has the ability to shoot the ball and take it to the hoop. He is a consistent free throw shooter and has a great vision on the court. Rodriguez is another point guard possibility for the Magic.
Stephon Marbury (PG, NYK) — Although highly unlikely, Marbury (despite his bad attitude), could fit in the Magic’s system if signed or traded to the team.
