The Los Angeles Dodgers are having a special kind of year, and that extends well beyond the diamond. At least for first baseman James Loney it does.

The man who has smiled three times in his lifetime is getting hitched, and we have some stunning engagement photos to share with everybody.

The woman that stole Loney's heart and will no doubt captivate fans on the Internet is a mystery. So far there is little information on the stunner, but we will click refresh on our browser until we get some closure.

The photographer's website does, however, list the pictures under Nadia and James Loney. We can assume the lovely lady's first name then.

The pictures come from the blog Vin Scully is My Homeboy. They originate from photography studio Callaway Gable

I won't say that Loney is "outkicking his coverage" because the man is a slick-fielding first baseman who is a vital part to the Dodgers...but he is outkicking his coverage.

True, he is batting .254 with two home runs and has been a bit slow out of the gate, but his fiancee would be too good for a .400 hitter right now.

Standing ovation for Loney, who is even smiling in a few of the photos.

And really, why wouldn't he be smiling ear-to-ear every single second of the day? Loney has raised his batting average 20 or so points in the last couple of weeks, the Dodgers are winning games despite fielding a minor-league ball club right now and he is set to be married.

Factor in the once in a lifetime feats of Chris Capuano and Ted Lilly pitching likes aces and you have to think this is the year of the boys in blue.

I have no idea what's going on at Chavez Ravine, but I will have what they're having.
