Cincinnati Bengals: Stop Dressing Like Clowns

It has been three years since the Cincinnati Bengal had a winning season.

Since then they have been inconsistent and the laughingstock of the NFL. Not only have they had major problems on the field, but off the field as well. They have won only 19 of their last 48 games.

They have kept wide receiver Chris Henry through all of his problems, and signed running back Cedric Benson, with multiple DUIs, to help the problems in the backfield. They have let good players leave with no reinforcements to take their place.

Even their uniforms have proven to be the worst in the NFL.

The Bengals need to change a lot of things this offseason, there's no doubt about that. What about changing their uniforms that scream, "I'm a loser!"? This Bengals team needs to find a new identity.

I know that they have bigger problems to worry about than what they wear on Sundays. But when it comes down to it, I don’t want to remember how many times I have watched the news and wondered who was in trouble this time.

I don’t want to remember all the good and solid players this team let go. I definitely don’t want to remember how many losses the Bengals have had in the last three years.

Change the stupid “B” logo to something people will like. If you don’t want to change the stripes on the helmet, switch the color to a black helmet with orange stripes.

Make the uniforms the best they have ever looked, so if they lose on the field, which they probably will, at least they look good doing it.

If you can’t be the best at everything, you might as well be the best at something. I know as a fan, it would also make people want to buy the jerseys even if it is a losing team.
