Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
First they made mistakes and took some untimely and some would say questionable penalties that allowed the Steelers to keep scoring drives alive when it appeared that the Cardinals had them stopped. A roughing the kicker and a roughing the holder penalty proved costly.
The Play that the Cardinals could not recover from
The other was what allsports thinks was the play that determined the final out come. The Cardinals were on the Steelers two yard line with time running out in the first half. Warner got picked off on the goal line by James Harrison, who ran the ball all the way back for a touchdown.
The 100-yard interception return was the longest in Super Bowl history and was a pivotal 14 point swing in the Steelers victory.
Steelers Game Winning Drive
Santonio Holmes was brilliant with the catch for the score managing to have the presence of mind to keep both feet in the end zone while making a great catch. The Ben Roethlisberger pass was not to shabby either.
Both Kurt Warner and Roethlisberger played well and found their receivers to make big plays.
Larry Fitzgerald was great for the Cardinals and Allsports believes there is not a better receiver in the game today. The Cardinals came into their own in the 2009 playoffs but their lack of experience may have been their downfall. They still played a hell of a game, coming so close but just falling short.
They are a young team and the experience gained from the playoffs and the Super Bowl will give them confidence to get back and claim Vince Lombardi’s trophy in the near future.
