Super Bowl XLIII live!

Normally I watch the super bowl at a party with my parents but this year I decided to just chill at the house and write about it. There will be a million articles written about this game I just hope to capture the emotion of the game as it happens and the great commercials. I don’t really care who wins but I just get the feeling Pittsburg is going to win a close one

Determination that’s what I see in the eyes of Steelers quarter back Ben Rothlisberger as they flash to him during the excellent anthem by Jennifer Hudson.

The first pass he threw was a 33 yards completion to Hines ward longer than any of his completions in super bowl XL.

Overturned Ben Rothlisberger initially ruled touchdown run this could be big it’s the difference between 7 points and 3 points.

How fitting that the first super bowl commercial be one from Budweiser it was alright I don’t know I may just not be to keen on throwing people out of a window the better one so far is the Doritos spot with the magic crystal bowl.

Arizona’s first play is a run that was smart they are going to need to get edge off early in order to have a chance to win that was close edge fumbled but they got the ball back.

The introductions to me are really dumb sometimes; its one thing to shout out your high school but Larry Foote of the Steelers gave a shout out to the dope boys of his hood. did Ryan Clark just say swaggin that has to be the time that has ever been uttered on NBC

What play can Ben make on third and ten I tell you what kind a great one using his scrambling ability to make a completion to heath miller but is it me or is the term superman used much too often.

The first quarter lived up to what you expect from a first quarter in the biggest game of any players life a lot of feeling each other out but Pitt is doing a lot more feeling the score is 3-0 but Rothlisberger is in the red zone

This should be a super bowl rule all commercials must have monkeys

The Arizona defense is bending over backwards right now they are making the pretty good Pitt offense look great

The cardinals run their 6th play of the game it looks like they are trying to get the ball to everybody but their 2 pro bowl wide outs.

The one consistent so far is that Dominique R C came to play he has made two big plays so far he has to be the fastest player on the field

Its ok to hit a player on the butt after a big play but come on Neil Rackers did you really have to squeeze like that

Larry still has yet to get one throw his way its 3rd and 22 this seems like as good a time as any to get it to him; nope the cards choose to dump it off to Edge James and he drops it

Karlos Dansby makes what I call a clumsy interception off a tipped pass from Rothlisberger the two minute warning.

It is crazy how stoic head coaches are during the super bowl I would be jumping up and down on every first down. It seems like this game is going by really fast its almost half time and I’m not even done with my sandwich

Fitzgerald just made his first catch nothing spectacular but a good confidence completion

I wonder what Bruce Springsteen is going to do I hope he does glory days holy shit! Harrison just did his best Ed Reed impression showing why he is the defensive player of the year by taking an interception 100 yards turning what should have been an Arizona lead or tie into 10 point Pittsburg lead

Why is Matt Millen an analyst he obviously know nothing about how to run a football team but we are supposed to listen to him break down a game.

I wonder what would happen if Bruce Springsteen’s nipple popped out would they delay it and not show or would the network just play it off. It seems like everybody who went to the super bowl Is a Springsteen fan. i didn’t know they would allow you into the super bowl post 9/11 with pocket lighters. That was a great half time show I just had my homeboy a 16 year old inner city gang banger call me and he said all he could say is great Bruce Springsteen is. I didn’t know Traylon listen to anything but lil Wayne but now he is an E street band fan. now that is transcending genre. The boss!!!

Adjustments are going to be key can the cards run the ball? Can big ben win the game with his arm is Neil Rackers gay these questions and more will be answered in the second half.

If Pitt scores here they might have to start engraving Pittsburg on the Lombardi trophy Hines Ward makes another big play but these referees are calling this game much to tight

Steelers are on the zona 20 Willie Parker makes the first big Steeler run, before that 14 yard skat he was only averaging 2.4yards per play.

Wow what a bone head play Adrian Wilson the leader of the cards defense just got the third personal foul call of the drive luckily the defense held up for a second time inside the 10 yard line.

Larry Fitzgerald only has one reception and Kurt Warner has only taken one shot down field Vegas should have had a gimmick bet for how many times Kurt Warner goes deep by the start of the 4th I guarantee nobody would have picked once

This is the start of the fourth this is were champions rise to occasion I just get the feeling Larry Fitzgerald is about to do something unbelievable

The Steelers are starting to do what they do when winding the game down and just as I say that Darnell Docket gets a sack and the Steelers are forced to punt

The cardinal finally showing a sense of urgency by running the no huddle and getting the ball to Larry Fitzgerald consistently I hate when teams try to play a different brand of football than what got them to the super bowl in the first place the cardinal are driving because they are passing the ball around the yard.

3rd and goal and who else but Larry Fitzgerald to make the jump ball catch that is his sixth of this postseason

Quick note: why the hell is it that every time madden calls some ones name they make the very next play as soon as they say DRC he breaks a ball up they say Fitzgerald he make 3 catches and a TD Darnell docket says madden SACK

What the heck you can’t call a unnecessary roughness in the fourth quarter of the super bowl the only yellow flags flying now should be the terrible towels we might just have to call this one the penalty bowl did Al Michaels just say swaggin?

This is nerve wrecking Pitt has the ball in their own end zone and they make a wonderful play Ben Rothlisberger to santonio Holmes for what could have secured a SB victory and they get a holding call in the end zone which means safety

Its time for Kurt Warner to channel his inner Tom Brady

2:45 left in the game Larry Fitzgerald make a 9 yard catch and turns it into a 65 yard touch down play I knew it I knew Larry Fitzgerald was not going out like a punk playmakers make plays and that’s what he just did.

They just went to a shot of his dad Larry Fitzgerald sr who is a writer for a Minneapolis newspaper there is a rule no cheering in the press box I don’t see how he can contain himself.

I am going to go out on a limb and saw this is the greatest super bowl I have ever seen i have seen about 7 of them live at least

Yes the touchdown stands santonio Holmes should be the MVP if Pitt goes on to win this one
