Oh, The Super Bowl's Already Here??
Now, while I'm not much of a football fan, I do watch the Super Bowl.
No, I don't watch it just because of the commercials, but I actually watch it to see who will win and take home the glory at the end of the day. Don't get me wrong, football is great and I'll watch it if I see it, but I'm not a huge fanatic of the sport.
I don't watch every single game. I don't make a fantasy football league. I don't know much history of the NFL. Hell I don't even know most of the players on my favorite team, but I do know a great game when I see one.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now, last year, I was actually hooked onto football with the New England Patriots. I have always, and still am, a Patriots fan.
You see, last year was amazing; with the Patriots dominating, there seemed to be no stop to them. Coming into the Super Bowl seemed to not be a surprise to many, but the events on that day would happen, would definitely be a shocker.
The underdogs, the team that many people wanted to see beat the Patriots, would end up going into the Super Bowl with little momentum. Suddenly, the Giants won, and while I still believe that the Patriots are my favorite team, that ending seemed to be too movie-like to be real. However, it was. Now, the weeks building up to that day was amazing, with the game set to mainstream news everywhere, people began to be excited.
This time around, however, the Super Bowl caught me off guard.
Yeah, I said it, it caught me off guard due to the fact that this seems to have no build up at all. In what is the leagues most prestigious games of the season, there seems to be nothing in mainstream news as there was last year. I was one of the people who went "Oh, so the Super Bowl next Sunday? Hmm...you sure it's not in about a couple more weeks?"
This is just amazing how off-guard I was to all of this. Every year I watch the Super Bowl and I have never seen less build up in the past three years. Sure there may have been less promoted Super Bowls than this, but to my knowledge, I am awed of this fact.
Of course I will be rooting for the Steelers Super Bowl Sunday, but I couldn't care about this Bowl. Hopefully next year there will be more build up to it; but for now, looks like the highlights may be the commercials.
