TNA Sacrifice 2012: Preview & Predictions

0 of 8

Tomorrow, May 13, TNA Wrestling and Direct Auto Insurance present Sacrifice live on pay-per-view! Sacrifice will take place in Universal Studios Orlando, Florida!

There are seven matches scheduled for the event. Four of those seven will be championship matches. The World Heavyweight Championship, Television Championship, Tag Team Championships and Knockouts Championship will be up for grabs!

Tune in to see IMPACT stars such as Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson, Samoa Joe, Magnus, Brooke Tessmacher and much more!

TNA Sacrifice should make a great Mother's Day gift for all you who don't know what to get mom yet.

TV Championship: Robbie E vs. Rob Terry vs. Devon

1 of 8

This match was added on the final IMPACT before Sacrifice, but it has definitely been building since Victory Road way back in March.

The TV title has been looking like a much more important championship within IMPACT Wrestling, and it's only fitting that the Sacrifice poster boy, Rob Terry, gets a match.

One on one, neither Robbie could defeat Devon. We've seen that. It's a proven fact.

Together, though, Devon has no chance against the Robbies. It's the classic numbers game.

I imagine a two-on-one, handicap-style match to be fought here. Robbie E and Rob Terry beat down Devon for majority of the match.

The thing that'll snap their alliance in this match will be their lust for gold. Their own personal greed and gain will get between their partnership and, eventually, cost them the match.

Both guys will try to pin Devon and become champion. Neither guy wants to lose. They'll get angry with one another. And there's their downfall.

They'll be too concerned about who pins Devon, which will cause them to take their eye off the ball. This will allow Devon to make a comeback and do what he said he'll do, "Slam both their asses into the mat with a spine buster."

    Winner: Still Champion, Devon

Knockouts Championship: Brooke Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim

2 of 8

To me, Brooke Tessmacher has been one of the most impressive Knockouts in recent memory. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want her to win. She has quickly become my favorite Knockout on the TNA roster, and I'd love more than anything to see her as champion.

Will it happen? Will she win on Sunday? Sadly, no.

Gail Kim has run rampant through competition: Velvet Sky, Mickie James, Tara, Madison Rayne and now Brooke Tessmacher.

I feel like Brooke Tessmacher is just being used as a filler feud for Gail instead of being treated as a fresh, new face in the title hunt.

Gail Kim should defeat Tessmacher this Sunday and head into TNA's 10-year anniversary with championship intact, unfortunately.

    Winner: Still Champion, Gail Kim

I'd be surprised if Brooke Tessmacher is still featured on IMPACT after Sacrifice, to be brutally honest with you. It's sad...I love Tessmacher, though.

Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries

This has been one of the most interesting and entertaining feuds in recent months.

Both guys are great when it comes to in-ring work and mic work. They both have it. I think this has match-of-the-night potential.

I think A Double will get close to a big underdog win, but just fall short. If Aries were to win at Sacrifice, it'd make an already weak X Division look even weaker.

I think Bully Ray will cheat to win (probably use his chain), and this feud should continue. I mean, why end this thing now when Slammiversary is next on our calendar?

I expect Bully Ray to use dirty tactics in order to win and a big final match between these two at Slammiversary. Somewhere in that one month timespan, I also think Bully Ray will cost Aries his X Division Championship.

    Winner: Bully Ray

If Aries wins, he'll have nothing else to do but return to the X Division in my opinion.

Tag Team Championship: Daniels & Kazarian vs. Samoa Joe & Magnus

4 of 8

For a full preview and breakdown of this match, click here.

This match has all the potential to be great. Sure, it lacked hype going into Sacrifice, but with Daniels, Kazarian, Samoa Joe and Magnus, it should not upset.

I'm going to say that Joe and Magnus retain against Daniels and Kazarian for one reason.

Daniels and Kazarian have been too focused on AJ Styles rather than their championship match on Sunday.

Winners: Still Champions, Samoa Joe and Magnus

I also wouldn't expect this to be the last time we see either Daniels or Kazarian on Sunday...

Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles

5 of 8

For a full preview and breakdown of this match, click here.

Angle and AJ have a lot of history with each other. As allies, as enemies and everything in between....whatever that may be.

This match should have some great wrestling, no doubt, but I feel like it's just a stepping stone for the storyline between AJ, Daniels and Kazarian.

This is what I meant when I said Daniels and Kazarian's night won't end after their tag title match. Expect to see one of, or both, of them distract AJ long enough for Angle to take advantage.

    Winner: Kurt Angle

Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson

6 of 8

For a full preview and breakdown of this match, click here.

This is one of the tougher matches to decide on. Why? It was randomly made just to get both guys on the pay-per-view, that's why.

I'm just glad there's not some No. 1 contender's stipulation added to it or anything.

Some people are expecting Anderson to turn heel at Sacrifice, but I don't think so.

This past Thursday, Anderson joined RVD in beating down Bobby Roode. Shortly after, Hardy came out to do the same. As they're all beating on Roode, Hardy just started attacking Anderson. Now, I'm not saying Hardy will turn (despite how awesome it'd be), I'm just trying to state a case as to why Anderson won't turn either.

I honestly have no idea what'll happen between these two. I'm guessing that their fighting will continue past Sunday, though.

Without Hardy, Anderson has nothing to do. Without Anderson, Hardy has nothing to do. Why not have a count-out? Give this match more build and book a rematch at Slammiversary while you're at it.

World Title Ladder Match: RVD vs. Bobby Roode

7 of 8

For a full preview and breakdown of this match, click here.

Bobby Roode brought everyone to attention this past Thursday. Within two weeks time, he'll become the longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion in the history of TNA (beating AJ Styles' record of 211 days).

In no way, shape or form do I believe Rob Van Dam deserves to be World Champion. Sure, he claims to have never lost the title in the first place. But still, that was two years ago! Get over yourself, RVD! To make matters worse, he lost to the champion at the time, Sting, at Lockdown and at Sacrifice last year.

RVD has been back for about one month now. I can count on one hand the amount of matches this guy has had since his return. Talk about undeserving.

Bobby Roode is "The It Factor" of professional wrestling and one of the best things to happen to TNA in the past year. Bobby Roode is it, deserves to be it and needs to stay it.

Winner: STILL Heavyweight Champion of the World, Bobby Roode!

RVD was best used around February of this year. Yeah, not on TV.

The End

Cool to see Rob Terry on a pay-per-view poster, right? No? I'm the only one to think that? OK.

Well, there are my predictions. No title changes and my RVD hatred may get me in trouble, but oh well. Feel free to leave your own comments and predictions below.
